As a touch-screen smartphone with a cornucopia of features, the Touch Diamond – otherwise known as the T-Mobile Compact IV - offers a serious challenge to the iPhone 3G. However, usability issues, many related to the terminally unpopular Windows Mobile operating system, blight its overall performance.
Some phones can be said to define the state of the art. Sadly, the C903 is not amongst them.
Another Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson, another gripe about the lack of a 3.5-mm headphone jack, another otherwise brilliant music player. This one, however, has a 5-megapixel camera and a pair of good-quality bundled headphones to tempt those looking towards Nokia’s Comes with Music-branded phones for their mobile music fix.
Despite its understated looks, the E590 offers a selection of features that place it in the top bracket of its budget-priced cohort, but won’t be troubling most mid- to high-end handsets.
