This sleek addition to Sony Ericsson’s wildly successful Walkman series provides welcome improvements and some solid technical advances.
The Sony Ericsson W910i provides many of the same music features as its younger Walkman-range siblings, but also falls down in similar areas. However, its slim slider-phone frame and large screen have gained it fans, despite some accusations of gimmickry.
With the U900, Samsung has cherry-picked recent innovations to providea fully-featured, high-spec phone. Though some aspects fall short of top-of-the-range, the loftily-named Soul provides an impressive level of all-round performance.
Labelled by many as Samsung’s first foray into the ‘iPhone killer’ market, the Omnia has been garnering mixed reviews. Though widely considered one of the best among the Windows Mobile-based smartphones,the question of whether the Omnia does indeed trump Apple’s offering has yet to be answered.
Billed as the slimmest 5 megapixel camera phone to date, the SonyEricsson C902 holds an ample array of features in its slender frame. However, sacrifices have clearly been made for the sake of beauty.
