This sleek addition to Sony Ericsson’s wildly successful Walkman series provides welcome improvements and some solid technical advances.
Having crashed the LG Renoir’s 8-megapixel touch-screen party and swiped its slimmest-8MP-ever crown, the Pixon has proceeded to impress reviewers with its photographic skills and slick interface. Like its LG nemesis though, some minor niggles prevent the Pixon scoring top marks.
The N95 8GB improves upon its N95 predecessor in more areas than the obvious. Physical and internal tweaks make it a worthwhile upgrade and keep the once-flagship N95 a competitive model.
Billed as the sequel to the wildly popular N73 of two years ago, the N78 features a streamlined frame and an array of Smartphone features. Unfortunately, both the Nseries and the rest of the high-end market have moved on and the N78 finds it hard to compete.
The Sony Ericsson W910i provides many of the same music features as its younger Walkman-range siblings, but also falls down in similar areas. However, its slim slider-phone frame and large screen have gained it fans, despite some accusations of gimmickry.
